THE MISSION: The COVID-19 pandemic has dealt the event industry a heavy blow. Below you will find a collection of local Bay Area makers, crafters, culinary wizards, and artists that would have graced our street fairs, music festivals, and block parties in the coming months. I have compiled these creatives in an effort to showcase a little of what makes festival season so special.
MAKER OF THE WEEK
MyShield Masks started in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 outbreak across the world. Our goal is to supply protective, comfortable, and effective masks to the public to help meet the global demand.
Our founder has always valued making clothing for people who have been left out of the mainstream. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this value still remains true. My Shield Masks has one clear vision; to provide Protective Gear (non-medical masks) to use as added protection by medical patients, front-line workers, grocery store workers, delivery drivers, and people in their everyday lives.
Your purchase supports products that are 100% designed, made, and manufactured right here in the USA. We are a small, humble company based in Indiana. Our parent company designs costumes for competitive high school show choir, and even cater a line of specialty apparel made for the LGBTQ communities across the United States. By supporting our company, you are supporting workers with families in these uncertain times.
